Church of St John the Baptist: this rotunda church at Muta in the Drava valley dates from 1052 and is one of the oldest in Slovenia. Its round shape, wooden slatted roof and small steeple are typical of this Alpine region - truly beautiful against the backdrop of wooded hills

Stork on nest at Velika Polana:
storks are a common sight in Prekmurje, and in almost every village, you see the bulky nests perched on top of chimneys and power poles. The birds are said to return each year to the same nest for laying of eggs
