Esztergom

Danube at Esztergom: viewed from dome of Basilica, the Danube
stretches away across the Plain. The Maria Valeria Bridge was only
recently rebuilt, having been destroyed by Germans in 1944. It is the only
Danube bridge in this part of the country |

Skanzen:
the Hungarian Open-air Museum gives a fascinating glimpse into
traditional building, farming and way of life from the various regions of
the country, including of course paprika drying. The rain that had plagued
the last few days still had not fully cleared
