31 July | €18.87 | 2-star site open all year round and convenient for Calais/Dunkerque ferries; pleasant welcome from owner; plenty space for visitors away from statics; modern, clean facilities; boulangerie and supermarket in nearby Oye Plage village; slightly expensive for basic site | +3

Valley GPS: N-50.22097 E-7.445576 |
1 Aug | €17.10 | 12 kms from A61 junction 39, down into Mosel Valley; an old favourite of ours, so convenient on a cross-continental drive; and the Yachthafen bar in Brodenbach village is the closest thing in atmosphere to an English pub | +4
Campingplatz Azur, Regensburg, Germany |
Jct 99 of A3 onto A93, exit jct 40; site on banks of
Danube GPS: N- E-12.05874 |
2 Aug |
€27.95 inc CCI discount |
Popular site with German caravaners with prices to match; pleasant location on banks of Danube and very convenient 2km from A3 motorway to Austria, BUT never before have we been greeted with such uncouth and insufferable rudeness on arrival; this site should be BOYCOTTED by all who pass this way, so that the owners learn the commercial cost of treating their customers in this way; such a pity since otherwise the site is fine |
